Please do not sign up if you have not received an invite. Only selected players will be able to attend AC sessions
To cover the admin fee’s there will be a £5.00 charge deducted prior to any refunds for non selected players that still choose to sign up
Please check your Spam / Junk email boxes and also contact your Club or School you think you should have been nominated but have not received an invite
Bucks HA has a welfare support system in place for any players and families that may be struggling with the payments.
Reduced charges are available for those wanting to attend who can demonstrate financial hardship. In this situation, please email admin@bucksha.org.uk with your request & we will be in touch about the process. Please DO NOT include any confidential information in your initial email as you will be contacted by the county treasurer for that level of information.
Please note, until that process is completed the player will NOT be deemed to be part of the AC squad.
Background:
The Academy Centre (AC) is the second step on England Hockey’s (EH) Player Pathway, which leads to the Talent Academy (TA) and potentially all the way through to national age group squads (NAGS).
The AC is aimed at those talented and promising players, both boys and girls for U13 – U17 age groups.
Please note that the Player Pathway is based upon academic school years.
AC Format:
The AC comprises of a number of training sessions and 4 match days comprising of 3-way matches. All squad members are invited to the 10 training sessions and the coaches will select a squad for each match day. Please note that selection to the AC squad does not guarantee the player a place in the team for match days. The match day selection is based upon performance and attendance at training sessions.
We are looking at the possibility of additional GK AC sessions and will contact the GK’s directly about this.
The training dates and match dates are available on the Bucks HA website and will be Friday evenings; please note that these could be subject to change, and the players selection lists will be emailed out before every match. The 4 match days will take place on a Sunday throughout Feb to May 25.
